Project Location
~8,135 Acres
Project Size
Cruz’s Solar Lithium Project is located in Nevada, USA
Nevada is the go-to address for North American lithium production, and Cruz is extremely pleased to have a sizable footprint in this world-class district, directly bordering American Lithium Corp.’s (TSX.v: LI, NASDAQ: AMLI) TLC project. On December 1, 2022, American Lithium Corp. announced an updated resource estimate, prepared by Stantec Consulting Ltd., for the TLC lithium claystone property containing 8.83 million tonnes lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) measured & indicated with another 1.86 million tonnes LCE inferred. Lithium prices have recently broken out to all-time highs and investor interest in lithium stocks continues to be robust.
A sampling program on the ‘Solar Lithium Project’ encountered Lithium values as high as 1,610 parts per million (ppm) lithium (Li). The phase I drill program was designed to test the high-grade target areas, using the information provided by the recent sample program.
On January 17, 2022 – Cruz Battery Metals Corp. announced it received the assays for first phase of drilling on its 100 percent owned ‘Solar Lithium Project’ that directly borders American Lithium Corp.’s (TSX.v: LI, NASDAQ: AMLI) TLC project. Multiple intercepts of the targeted potential lithium-bearing claystone formation were encountered in all the holes drilled in this initial phase of drilling. Values in Hole 1 were as high as 1,300 ppm/Li and encountered lithium bearing clays from 10 feet to 200 feet with a 60-foot intercept averaging 968.33 ppm/Li. Hole 2 had a high value of 1120 ppm/Li including a 60-foot interval averaging 768 ppm/Li.
On May 10, 2022 – Cruz Battery Metals Corp. announced it received drill results from three holes of the phase II drill program on the 100-per-cent-owned 8,135-total-contiguous-acre Solar lithium project in Nevada. Hole-3 achieved values as high as 900 parts per million Lithium (ppm Li), hole-4 achieved a high value of 790 ppm Li, and hole-5 achieved a high value of 820 ppm Li.
On May 18, 2022 – Cruz Battery Metals Corp. received the final drill results from the phase II drill program on the 100-per-cent-owned 8,135-total-contiguous-acre Solar lithium project in Nevada. Hole-6 was drilled more than 4 km’s (~2.5 miles) to the North of any previous hole drilled to date on the Solar Lithium Project. Drill hole-6 discovered values as high as 630 parts per million lithium (ppm Li). To date, every hole drilled on the ‘Solar Lithium Project’ has discovered lithium.
On February 24, 2023 – Cruz Battery Metals Corp. announced the phase-3 drill program intersected the targeted potential lithium bearing clays in every drill hole. The phase-3 drill program was comprised of four core holes on the 100-percent owned, 8,135-acre Solar Lithium Project in Nevada, directly bordering American Lithium Corp.’s (AMLI – Nasdaq, LI – TSX.v) TLC project.
Frank Bain, the on-site PGeo and a director of Cruz Battery Metals stated, “The four completed core drill holes all intersected potential lithium bearing clays with one hole intersecting more than 500 feet of green and black clays, shales and siltstone of the Siebert Formation. The Siebert Formation is the same host rock for the lithium mineralization found on the Solar Lithium Project and on American Lithium Corp.’s TLC discovery that is adjacent to Cruz Battery Metals.”
Cruz management cautions that past results or discoveries on properties in proximity to Cruz may not necessarily be indicative to the presence of mineralization on the Company’s properties. Mr. Frank Bain, P.Geo., a director of Cruz and a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical disclosure contained within this website.
